Bywater Bakery: Indulge in New Orleans' Finest Cakes and Treats

Visiting New Orleans is a blast !. This Bakery is awesome. Visited nearly every morning for many different coffee's and continental delights. Staff are fantastic and so friendly. I recommend this Bakery for lovely treat while you are in New Orleans. So many delights to choose from.

One of the many places that keep me coming back to New Orleans. This bakery has so much heart and soul, and is a vital part of the community. Besides their insanely good sandwiches, pastries, and of course their legendary King Cakes, owners Chaya Conrad and her husband Alton Osborne are always the first to step up when there is a need, and never ask for anything in return. And then there are the King Cakes! This year we tried this savory one -with a description like this, how could we not? Meet our spinach artichoke king cake- aka Spin/Art Garlic bread king cake filled with a bubbling cauldron of cheese pretending to be a vegetable dish. It’s what happens when spinach and artichokes get tired of being side salads and demand to be smothered in dairy glory. It’s warm, it’s creamy, and it will fill your belly between floats. It was so darn good! If you only have time to make one stop while you are visiting, this is the place you need to be.

Great staff and AMAZING pastries. The king cake was soooo good. We got the praline one. The Chantilly cake was also amazing. You can’t go wrong stopping here for a treat and a coffee. They have outdoor seating.

had an amazing breakfast experience this morning here! the line wasn’t too long when we arrived, and went by quickly. they have lots of seating and some standing room… plus some amazing staff. the chef, the ladies working the front, and sarah who made a great conversation with us and made our entire morning— if not trip. we tried the breakfast gumbo, tofu scramble (gf/v), a cupcake, then were kindly given some of their seasonal soup to try. we were also given a delicious slice of berry chantilly with the freshest fruit and delicious flavor. i would not pass this up for a breakfast spot/bakery when you’re in the new orleans area!

Bless Bywater Bakery We called Bywater Bakery on a Sunday looking for an impromptu wedding cake. (Definitely on me ) HOWEVER- Bywater Bakery pulled through! When we initially inquired about a berry Chantilly cake, they did not have any available. My now brother-in-law and husband went over to see what they did have made shortly after the call- lo and behold they had fresh berry Chantilly cakes out! The owner made time to speak to them and had staff decorate the cake a little extra! The cake was incredible! Hate I didn’t finish my piece! New place we found while exploring Bywayer area on our bikes. Great coffee and plenty of pastries. I had an apple fritter and it was great. Everything looked good. Awesome place for coffee and hanging out with friends. Super nice atmosphere.

Tasty stuffed Chantilly berry king cake! The cake.is fluffy and the cream is well done and filled with berries. Not dry at all, but I didn't love their cookie. Overall come for the king cakes or any of their fluffy pastries!!

If you love cinnamon rolls this is the place to get one! By far the best est cinnamon roll I have ever had in my life!!! Fresh squeezed orange juice and first rate cappuccino. Big clean bathrooms artsy vibe I love it here.
